Even Novices Can Shabby Chic Furniture!
That’s right. You heard it – even novices can rejuvenate old furniture with our shabby chic furniture paint!
No more traipsing around furniture shops looking for something that looks stunning AND doesn’t break the bank. You can re-create your old furniture so that it’s completely unrecognisable!
Plain wooden furniture can look a bit, well, boring. So our friend, Tracy, has spiced up her dining room table to show us how it’s done.
Here’s the novices guide to shabby chic furniture
Tracy sanded both tables down lightly and completed this project with our Chalky White coloured paint. There was no need to apply primer beforehand as our shabby chic furniture paint is very thick and pigmented!
Tracy used a litre can of paint and, even after three coats on each table, half of the can still remained unused!
You really do get a bang for your buck with this paint. This means that Tracy will have enough paint left over for another DIY project.
Each coat of paint took approximately an hour to dry and after all three coats were dry, a thin layer of non-coloured wax was applied to give a varnished finish.

“I got somewhat fed up traipsing around the shops… I just couldn’t see what I wanted that would suit our dining room within our budget – so I gave up and decided to update the one I’ve got at home with Rainbow shabby chic furniture paint at very little cost. I and am over the moon with the results!” – Tracy, Essex
