Mildew Remover – No Hard Scrubbing Required

We’ve all been there, looking for the best mildew remover because your grout is starting to look like it’s losing the war with mould.

While mildew isn’t technically the same thing as mould, they both serve the same purpose – to annoy house-proud people.

Mildew is more likely to be what’s on your bathroom tiles and grout, and the focus of today’s post.

So here’s how to use a mildew remover that will help to prevent the stuff growing back.

Step 1: Prime Your Mildew Affected Surface

OK, you got me, there’s a bit of scrubbing. But not much! Just wipe over the surface of your tiles and grout with a damp cloth, ensuring you get rid of as much mildew as possible – we’ll tackle the stains left on the grout next.

Dry your tiles off with an old towel or dry cloth and you’re ready to use your mildew remover.

Step 2: Cover The Stains

Here’s where our mildew remover is different. Most people would continue scrubbing, or leave the mildew soaked in a solution for an hour, until the stains were gone.

This method is far too much effort.

Instead, grab a grout pen, priming it sufficiently first, and start to draw over your grout.

Just take a look at this before and after photo to see how well it works!

While this tiling wasn’t covered in mildew, you can still see how a grout pen can revitalise your tired, stained grout so that it looks like new again.

Step 3: Take A Hot Bath

Well, that’s it really. A hot bath will enable you to look at your newly restored bathroom from a position of comfort and reflect on a job well done. Just remember to allow around 30 minutes for the grout to dry!
